Luc Nijs (Belgium)

Luc has been a teacher (clarinet, saxophone, ensemble) for many years and then decided to deepen his skills, knowledge and experience through research. Since 2008, he has been investigating the musician-instrument relationship and how the body can play a role in the development of an optimal relationship between musician and instrument. This has led him to the development of the "kinemusical approach" that is being adopted in this project. Next to his work on the body in instrumental music teaching and learning, he gained knowledge and experience in the domain of technology-enhanced music learning. His project with the Music Paint Machine received the EAPRIL Best research and Practice Project Award.
